Modified Home Euthanasia During Covid-19: I have devised a modified euthanasia protocol in order to keep us safe while still allowing your pet to have a peaceful and fear free transition. For dogs, if it is a nice day I would prefer to be outside in your yard. You will hand me your dogs leash, both of us wearing masks and I will administered an injection for sedation and hand the leash back to you. You can sit with your pet while he/she falls asleep. You will then move 6 ft away while I administer the final injection. If we must be inside then you must have a room I can enter while remaining 6 ft away. Enclosed porches, mud room, garage would be good options. I would proceed as outlined above except I will leave while the sedative is taking effect. . I want to continue to be here for you all during this stressful and uncertain time.
